What should you send for a quotation?

Send a STEP or STP model, quantity and preferred material. A PDF drawing should specify tolerances, threads, surface requirements and other details that cannot reliably be inferred from the model.

How is the price calculated?

The estimate includes stock, material, billed machine time, setup, CAM and selected additional operations. Actual machining time, setup count and tooling are determined during process planning; STEP alone is not a CAM simulation. The final price is confirmed after review.

Can I request a quotation without a STEP model?

Yes. Attach a PDF drawing, sketch or photograph and describe your requirements. Without reliable geometry, the part requires a manual assessment and an automatic price may not be available.

When is the production lead time confirmed?

The lead time is agreed after reviewing documentation, confirming material and accepting the quotation. Selecting options or uploading a drawing does not itself start production.

A functional machine part requires more than the right shape. Fits, hole locations, threads and surface quality determine how it works within an assembly. Specify special requirements on a dimensioned PDF alongside the STEP model. Identify reference surfaces, tolerances and thread depths to make the request unambiguous. Tool access and part orientation affect setups and process selection; these details are reviewed for the specific part.

CNC milling prices depend on stock, material removal, surface complexity, preparation, setups and quantity. Tighter tolerances and additional operations can change the work scope.
